We remember the disastrous British & Canadian raid on the French port of Dieppe on the august 19th 1942, 4963 canadians soldiers and officers came on the shore, but germans were waiting for them since the aborted attack on july 4th.
From that big troop, 1944 were caught by the Germans and only 2211 came back to England, 607 of them were injured and 28 died later. The global loses from those days were 3369 (907 dead, 2462 injured or captured). If we consider that nearly 1000 soldiers amongst the survivors didn't even reach the shore and the battle, it's even more dramatic.
We should remember that day as a practice from the crucial attack, 2 years later, on june 6th 1944 on the beaches of Normandie.
Most recently, sometime in the year 2002, a dark age began. The MetalKnights community was at its worst. Chaos was getting bigger and stronger, it seemed that all was lost.
Then , from all over the world came brave and fearless men and women who decided to ally , and fight together without difference of origin and language. What later became a legend was called the Allied Assault alliance.
